Actually, it's worth noting that the film is by the author of The Ring. Dark Water doesn't have that many similarities to its predecessor, but it does share a lot theme-wise with The Ring Two. Unfortunately as with The Ring Two, it wasn't a box office smash. Either is Dark Water.... Dark Water, ( directed by Walter Salles ) is at least modulated with some fine acting and claustrophobic visual imagery.   more »
